It will be interesting to watch what happens with Dungy. He went all on with BLM and related racial issues and has never back peddled from that. According to the USA Today article he is already groveling for forgiveness here. I had never heard of Nancy Armour, but judging by a quick scan of her bylines, she appears to be a political zealot writing on their sports page. Her cartoonish take on the teachings of Jesus and who is currently marginalized in our society are easily rebuffed. As you mentioned, the big thing would be if an advertiser pressures them to drop Dungy. Being black and otherwise non controversial might save his job. It looks like he is getting a fair amount of support from former players too, even some like Danny Kanell who work in sports media and potentially have something to lose for supporting him.

On Tony Dungy, I recall that his son committed suicide many years back, and in the public statement he made afterwards he made a remark that his son had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was in heaven.

The reason I remember this so well, is that the part about his son accepting Jesus Christ was cut out of the rebroadcast version of that statement.
